RE Drop brackets/braces and TNT stiffiners..

I was wondering if there is enough play in the slottted holes on the support braces to ge tthem to work on my TNT stiffiners (3/16" thick)? I want to get a set, but I just realized this may be an issue. Not looking to take off or chop up the stiffiners either so TNT LAs may be in the future.
