I searched and maybe I'm the only one who is struggling with this problem. How do you remove the wire harness from the oil pressure sending unit? I can't get it to budge and don't want to break it, but I am starting to get irritated with it. It's on a 2000 XJ 4.0L. Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Look at your electric fan plug, has the same kind of release if I remember correctly.

The little red clip is a pin that will slide one way or the other. You may have to use pliers or a screwdriver to get it to move. Once you get the red pin moved there should be an indented part to the plug that you'll see you can push down on and it will come apart like a regular plug.
