Long story short, Someone else removed the gears and they are long gone, so cant use them as a reference. I have a set of 4.88's and two master install kits ready to go in. I also have instructions from Randy's, but no pics. What I am looking for is like an Illustrated parts breakdown for the D30 and D35 (mainly the pinion gear set up). The jeep is up on jack stands in my garage, and is imobile. Also Im in Italy, so a gear guy is hard to find, and expensive as hell. Im pretty sure I can figure it out if I could just get my hands on some pics for reference. Thanks for anything you could do to help.

Here are some baseline shim specs to get going on re-assembly:

Carrier bearing: .035 per side.
Pinion depth: .045
Pinion preload: .065

You do know where all of these go, correct? Or is that the question?

pinion then the ring

From the yoke towards the pinion:

Yoke, seal, small fluid baffle, upper pinion bearing, bearing race (in the case), preload shims (pinion shaft), pinion depth shims (in the case), lower pinion race (in the case), lower pinion bearing, oil slinger (only in the front axle).

On the diff: bearing race, bearing, shims.

Ok, Im going to read that all backwards, and try to assemble it that way. You wouldnt happen to know where guy could get a pic do you? My chiltons is a little worthless at this point. Thanks again for the help. I only have a couple weeks to get this moving so I can ship it back to the states, or it gets left here and destroyed.

These are just a few to get you started, if you hunt around a bit [hint: search dejanews] you should be able to find an online FSM. I know they are out there but I have them for every jeep I own and they have an excellent diff section.
