Electric Brake Controller wiring...

Does anyone have a link to a writeup for installing an electric brake controller. I've installed a standard 4 prong setup but I want to go to 7 for a brake controller...

Oh yeah, it's a 99 XJ I6.
Any help and a point in the right direction would be great!

Your best bet would be to follow the instructions that come with the particular controller you buy. Some may use diffent color coded wires but don't sweat wiring it up, very basic job.

Use the 4 wire tap for basic lights. If you buy the matching pigtail, you can rig it out to have both a 4 way and a 7 way connection.

What I ultimately did was use a piece of 12/3 SO extension cord bracketed along the uniframe for ground, 12V, and brakes (didn't use the ground in the 4way.)
