4 door xj into 4 door pickup

i was planning this for a while to cut off the top back 1/4 of my xj. i have seen it done so i know it can be done but does anyone have pics of the project in progress? i wanted to cut it off right behind the back seat to the top of the tail lights so i can still have my rear hatch as a pickup door. help i need more modification.

I used the back of a Commanche cab to graft in behind the rear seat. I made mine so that the rear seat still worked.

are there actually 1/4 panals that you can buy suck as the rears on your xj? or did you make all the panels yourself?

Are you talking about the inners on the bed? Those are flat sheet metal cut to fit, as is the rear where the taillights are mounted. The outer quarter panels are the originals.

im talking about the diamond plate on the outer side of the thing. did you make those or buy them?

I made all the diamond plate. I had the shop where I bought the plate do the small bend at the top, and I cut them to fit.
