any one know how to remove the antenna in a 94 XJ... before I pull thing apart ?

I have a '92, but it should be the same of very similar-
Do you want to pull the aerial off the body panel, the wire out of the dash, both?
Assuming you want the aerial, take off about 10 10mm nuts holding the plasitc to the fender on the passenger side wheel well. I pulled several of them off and simply fight it out of the way enough to get under the antenna. There will be a link in the coax wire behind the plastic, unhook that and you can take the nut/screw/mount off the bottom of the aerial and off it comes.
I had an electric antenna that was dead, mine required me to unbolt the entire thing from the side of the car and splice in new wire to get to the new aerial.

Thanks SCW, that's exactly what I wanted to confirm before I started into it... Yeah the elec antenna is dead and wanted to replace it with a manual one...
