I searched, having a hard time finding any info on this axel.
the local yard has one under an old ford car it looks real norrow.
Not sure exactly what year or type of car, But i'm going back to look at it tomarrow and take measurments, check gear ratio, ect.
I'm sure its 5 on 4 1/2. I currently have a rear xj dana 44. I'd like to buy this axel (9 inch) and build it up to replace my 44.
I want 4.88 or higher gears
locker
disc brakes
could i find parts for this axel or is it odd ball stuff?
anybody have info on this axel??

you should be axle to find parts if its a ford 9". I have a feeling it came off an old bronco, or mustang ( mustang 2 possibly.) I think the 9" already has a posilock in it. Some came with 4.10 gears.

What would be odd about a 5 on 4.5 9"? I have one as do many on here, you can find them. Currie sells axles as does Moser. Disc brakes are Explorer as and ebrakes are simple, I did Lokar. Hell, Currie sells a ton of these 9" units for TJ's, YJ's and XJ's.

If you really need measurements I can pull those out.

However, search is your friend.
