building a lift??

I have an 85 xj and i was wondering if i was to put shackles in the rear with dakota springs and f 250 coils in the front and spacers would this be a dumb@$$ idea or would it work fine (it wont be a rock buggy or a speed demon)(only trails and mud) if this will not work advice would be great


p.s.-does anyone kno what i can take shackles off of in ajunk yard to lift my jeep??

I used the leave springs and shackles from a full sized Blazer to lift mine. It moved the axle back approximately 3 in, but works for me. Lotsa trimming after the install.

could i use just the shackles

mj shackles will lift you a little and its a direct bolt in.

Mj stock shackles will? if so what lift would i get??
