I got body damage today

I dont quite know how it happened but I need new springs in the back maybe new shocks. But i hit a bump and the jeep bottomed out so hard that the swaybar link got pushed up into the body seam by the frame rail and bashed the hell out of the wheel well. I hate leaf springs why did chrysler use them
So what caused this. Im hoping I didnt tweak the unibody because the driver door gap up at the roof is at about 7/16" , which i dont remember being like that. I hate this cherokee why do i have to sell my wrangler. What good is a vehicle when the whole floor rust out.

If the gap at the doors changed you tweaked the unibody. You must have hit pretty hard.

Is the bump stop still there? I've done the same thing to both my old XJ's because the rubber part of the bump stop fell off.
