I am looking for a long travel shock for the front of of my rig but don't know which company has a shock that is valved right for my xj. I have RE 5.5" coils up front with a custom suspension. I am looking for a shock with 12-13 inches of travel. I havn't had any experience in picking shocks for custom applications, so if anyone can point me in the right direction please do so.

i would avoid the ProComp es3000's that i run...

they have 50/50 valving and pretty much suck all around...

bilstein 5150 remote reservoir. they run GREAT and have a ton of travel.

they have a 12" and 14.5" travel shock.

i'm at about 8" or so, but have BPE's, so mine are realistically really close in application to yours. I have the RE 5.5" as well, with a spacer, and i'm running the 12" travel ones. my brake lines are my limiting factor...

and if you cant afford either :dunno:

i'm not. i guess all 30$ shocks are gonna ride about the same. like ass

so what does that make my dead 30$ shocks? other than limiting straps...i think thats all
