Question about a Dana35 rearend

If I have a dana 35 rearend. can i still do the H-N-T along with the front drive shaft used in the rear as long as its out of a 97-up xj? i have a 98 xj.

yes i have an automatic. im getting different answers from everyone. some say i can use a front drive shaft with a Dan 35 and some say i cant do to the housing sticking out to far where the drive shaft hooks up.

Ask Lawn Cher -- he did it on his '97, but I think his might be a 5-speed
