Are skid plates for selec-trac transfer case the
same for all years?

The Selectrac Skids are the same, the NP242, but they are different from the rest ie NP231

The factory t-case skid fits either a 231 (Command-Trac) or 242 (Select-Trac) on XJ's. Same one.
