dodge ram 3500 front axle

i have a friend who is trying to pull his front axle out to replace the u joint in his 95 dodge... i think its a D60 front.. i have not looked at it myself nor does he have a book.... i looked at 2 simialr trucks and it appears there is a front hub assy similar to the XJ's D30 bearing hub.... secured with 4 bolts from the back of the knuckle... anyone familiar with this? he swears he cant get it out after removing the axle lock nut and washer and using longer bolts to beat the hub out lfrom the back like a D30... he is NOT very mechanical and i am not able to go do it for him to get him to stop whining... anyone know about these dodge trucks?

Gosh, nobody liked me last night. I posted and it left with the board.

Have him rent a slide hammer. There is a lot more surface area for rust to hold when comparing it to an XJ.

Your on the right track though.
