Oil Pan interchangeablitly

So... my oil pan has begun to rust, and has formed a leak. I need to track one down asap, but no one nearby has one from a 2000. So my question is can I use one from say a 1992?

No reason why not - the block didn't change on the way up, and the last few oil pan gaskets I've had to get said they'd work for "1987-200x," so you should be good to go!

The only thing to watch out for is the positioning of the oil pickup. You want it about 1/8" up from the bottom of the pan.
