HELP insturment panel not working

I was installing a license plate relocation bracket and accidentally blew the fuse. replaced it, but when I started my veh. the insturment panel doesnt work. no gauges, speedo, tach or odometer. checked fuse still good.
any ideas.......

check fuse 16 in the power distribution panel (PDU) under the hood. 15A fuse.

Which fuse did you check? I'm not sure how identical the '98 and 2000 fuse panels are, but it's possible to miss fuse #1 when looking at the panel. See this thread (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50148&highlight=2000+fuse+diagram) for details - I had a similar problem a few days ago, and finally figured out that the top of the interior panel that the fuse panel resides in was blocking my view of the blown fuse. Felt really dumb until I saw the diagram.
