tia,

I heated it up with a torch, put in an air driver with a torx attachment, spun it, then popped it out with a hammer. Watch out, it is hot afterward, don't pick it up immediately (I speak from experience!)

This threw me on mine also. (01 XJ)
It's not threaded, just pressed in. Why the torqex head on it I have no idea.
I used a C-Clamp and a 3 lb Jeep Wrench (Hammer).

one end on pointy end of sway bar bolt, other end on the axle mount for the sway bar bolt, (not on the torqex head itself) tighten down, smack with 3 lb jeep wrench. re-tighten after a few good smacks or if the c-clamp falls off.
The c-clamp applies constant tension and the hammer frees the sway bar bolt. Just keep in mind the bolt and c-clamp will leave in a hurry when it does come free.

or just knock it out with a sledgehammer or air chisel. Worst that could happen is that those little brackets get bent in the process.
