C4x4 Square Rock Rails

I am not sure but after i installed my rock rails i get the impression that they extend a bit more outwards in the front than the back of the jeep body. The only thing i can think of is that the jeep isnt extacly a box as it tapers of towrds the front.. and maybve thats what causes that. the second issue that i think might cause this issue is that everything isntalled without a problem except the front T bracket had to be wedged in in between the frame and the rail support as they didnt fit well without a hammer...If pics would help let me know ?
