black crap

OK.. just ran some FI cleaner thru (last tank).. and now I notice in the snow after I let it warm up (at idle). that there is a big BLACK area below the exhaust. and the tail pipe tip is getting black as well.. Seem like it's running too rich?

Any suggestions on how to adjust this or what sensor might be invovled. Thinking it might be the O2 or TPS. ??

during warmup it's going to run rich. Replace the O2 if you think it will help any or the map sensor.

Thats carbon that is being cleaned out by the cleaner. If you want to see ALOT of it take some seafoam and pour it thru the throttle body according to directions. Lotta smoke though so be prepared for that...

thx guys... I know the engine runs on baseline setting until it's warm then takes the readings from the sensors.. so maybe my O2 sensor is not the prob..

and like Rich said.. just carbon.. hoping it's not foulin up the cat too bad!
