Geeze, yet another tool I don't have. Can anyone tell me the correct term (and size) for the tool to undo the front diff fill plug? I feel dumb going and asking for a "square widget thingy".:rolleyes:

Generally, a 3/8" drive socket extension will fit those fill plugs pretty nicely, if they are not all filled with rust or dirt. Have you tried that?

3/8" square drive.If you have a 3/8 socket set use the short extension

Check Martin's post to the "engine drain plug" thread a little ways down the page. That's the widget thingy you need, but a 3/8" socket (extension) should work.....

Gentlemen. Thank you. I had not actually tried anything yet, just looked at it and thought - need to check on that.
