ok well my friend thinks that his driveshaft is longer than mine
he has a 1993 cherokee 2 wheel drive,
and i have a 1989 Cherokee pioneer.
is this true, does a 93 XJ sport have a longer drive line/ yoke
than my 89 XJ pioneer ?

If its 2wd, then most likely its longer.

what kind of question is that?!! yes the 2wd has a longer drive shaft. why is the title of your post "are XJ sports better?" what does that have to do with anything in the post?

To answer your questions: yes they are better :D
The 2wd will have a longer driveshaft because he doesn't have a transfer case taking up space underneath. The T-Case is further back than the tranny and therefore requires a shorter driveshaft. Hope that helps ya

I believe that 2WD XJs have a shorter front driveshaft though.:D

sports are better...but only because i have one :)
my shaft is shorter, but it goes more places than a long one can...

So can I use a rear driveshaft from a 2wd for my 4wd so I can keep posponing getting the slip yoke eliminator. Im going to do it dont get me wrong but im waiting till im finished my 8.8

Oooo. I would like to know, cause the junkyard started callin my name when i read this. I guess if you measure it up... lickdj, what year is yours? i think that only works pre 97 but im not sure

Well, I have a '99 Sport 4X4 and a '89 Pioneer 4X2, so I guess that's the best of both worlds! :D
