8.25 gear ID

I just picked up a rear end, which I believe to be a 8.25, but I don't know what year it is out of, spline count, etc...
The tag was MIA, but the Ring gear had CR825456CP stamped on it which I assume means Chrysler 8.25 4.56 ratio, but I don't know for sure.
also, how do I tell if I have a Trac-Lok and is this a good locker to have?

Pull it apart and count the teeth on the ring gear and pinion,do the math and you will know what you have.
Do the same with the axles,it will only be a 27 or 29 spline.
The gear ratios are 3.55 or 3.07 stock,a 4.56 would be aftermarket.The Track loc is ok for a LSD.
You do know what the ratio is in your front axle,and the rear has to match.

I would assume that the axle is indeed 4.56. The Superior part number for that gear ratio in a 8.25 is C825456.
