when i did my lift - i just turned the IR 1/2" drive impact all the way up and went till it was done

Around 60 lbs you'll start to bend the stock plate.

So don't bend the hell out of it but get some where above 60 lbs if you can.

Thanks Mark, Oh how is the weather in Texas?

I went to 125 pounds on my stock plate. Anything below that, and my leafs started shifting. So, maybe 110 would be a good round number

i bent BOTH my stock plate and all of my u-bolts @ 110ft lbs...

next time im gona do probably aroud 80-90ft lbs..

Chiltons says 105lbs

no way they are 44-59lbs you are looking at something different its at least 100lbs

My 2000 Full Service Manual shows torque specifications for the U-bolts at 70 NewtonMetres or 52 ftlbs. My brand new Haynes manual also quotes 52 ftlbs for the Cherokee and 82 ftlbs for the Comanche. (page 10-1).
Beej.
