I read an article on a small rock buggy and it said it has an "upside down 9inch" front axle. If you flipped a 9" and retubed it to run in the front wouldn't it be spinning in the week direction and wouldn't you have oiling issues? If not, why don't we see more of it.

has nothing to do with the week (WEAK) direction, has all to do with the WRONG direction.

it's either rear engine or has portal ends, which account for the direction of rotation. there have been a number of people doing this for buggys.

Good point, I did not think about that. I'm not up on my volvo or mog junk.

With this rear engine buggy, would it use a standard TC but have the front output going to the rear and vise-versa?

I read in a Petersen's mag where there was a buggy with LP D60's that were flipped. It was mid engine I think..maybe rear, I'm not sure.

No oiling problems do to the angles it is at all the time.

It's not built to run down the freeway! :D
