I'm getting shafted!!!

The u joints in the steering shaft of my 89 are worn out.The dealer wants 200.00 for a new shaft but before I spend that much ,I wanted to see if there is a cheaper alternative.Any ideas?T.I.A

Are you talking about the intermediate shaft from the firewall to the steering box? If so, junkyard, $25.00.

It's a bit of a pain to install. I might have paid someone $200.00 while I was wrestling my steering wheel back into place..
