Just received my RE 3.5" Super Flex Kit...

Question on shocks...

Which is the better way to orient the shocks, cylinder side down and shaft facing up or cylinder up and shaft facing down?

Doeshtech 3000's if it matters.

Only air/nitro shocks can be mounted in any position.Hydro's will cavitate when mounted up-side down!

OKay, :anon: now for the stupid questions....
Hydro's, Are those what I have?
Which way is right side-up?

I've never changed a shock in my life. The stock ones that are on there now, I am told are quite possibly the original ones that came with the jeep in 91. They are in very bad shape. Two are split along the cylinder

The DT3000's are a twin tube cellular gas shock, which normally need to be mounted can down, meaning the shock body at the bottom and the shaft at the top. That's how I'd mount them.
