Toyota front axle for my XJ

I will be putting leafs on the front of my XJ soon and I am considering swaping my dana 30 for a toyota front axle. I did a search and only found people using toyota axles in the rear. Has anyone done this? Is there anything I need to know besides that the brake lines are metric? I think this will be a great swap if it will work.

the diff will be on the passenger side

It would be a great swap but it is far too narrow and will require cross-over steering, I looked into doing it and did lots of research but came to find that with the time and money invested to do it you might as well just get a Dana44.

diff on the wrong side and too narrow. both can be changed, but probably more time and/or money than it's worth. just get a Waggy D44 (80+) and a Toyota rear, that's what I did.
