Can someone explain wheel backspacing? Trying to figure out if there is a fomula or somthing to figure what I need for my Dodge. TIA :confused:

Backspacing is the distance from the plane of the mounting surface (where the wheel rests against the hubs) to the inner bead of the wheel (the bead closer to the vehicle centerline). For a stock 15x7 XJ rim this dimension is 5.25 inches.
I have no idea what it is or what it should be for a Dodge.
