Fan clutch stud size?

I want to replace the fan clutch with bolts and get rid of the studs. With the zj clutch and bigger radiator the studs don't offer enough space.

Anyone happen to know the size of the studs?

They are 1/4-20 I beleive

5/16-18.

Error.

5/16-18 is the nut end size of the stud. The thread size of the stud in the flange is 5/16-24.

Yeah, I was thinking that as I typed ...

One question though ... How will switching to bolts change things? The ZJ clutch mounts via a standard flange, and they sit well behind the fan, are you running it with some kind of a spacer?

Nothing other than the zj clutch but the studs are too long and the clutch cant easily come out. All but one stud needs removed to get the clutch out. Bolts instead of studs would allow the clutch to come right out.

Ok, makes sense, was just curious, I run the same clutch, but generally remove the front radiator and such when I delve into the engine bay.
