I have a problem. My gears are in bad condition. I'm looking for new one, bu only satelite gears, not the whole diff. Unfortunatelly, they are different than in open diff version. Any hint or tip? Maybe they match from another axle type? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know there are no substitutes. Other axles would have a different number of splines which would be incompatible. I looked at Yukon Gear and they say 29-spline 8.25 axles were used in the following vehicles:

B1500 Dodge Van 1/2 Ton: 1997 - 1998 (Rear)
B2500 Dodge Van 3/4 Ton: 1997 - 1998 (Rear)

I do not know of a supplier of limited slip spider gear kits for the Chry 8.25. Open diff spider kits no problem. Looks like the junkyard search is on. Or get a new Trac Loc or some other traction adder. There are a lot of gear shops out there that can sell you one. Gearworks in Clearwater, Fl dropped shipped me some clutches from Dana.

I have pulled a handful of these out of the Durangos listed, so I can verify they are available and fairly common in both Durangos and Dakotas. Dakotas tend to have already worn out the clutch packs, the Durango ones I have gotten were all good.

Probably not going to help you much in Poland, but they are pretty easy to source here.

Quite - unless a 9.25 carrier fits in an 8.25 :spin1:

They put 8.25s in some late 90s and early 00s HB-chassis (iirc, it may have been BN) Durangos as well as some AN chassis Dakotas. I know, I was confused too. The 8.25 is rare in Durangos, but every one I have popped a cover on has had a good 8.25 traclok in it. They have the reluctor ring for the ABS sensor, but fortunately it clears everything since the XJ 8.25 has the same pumpkin casting, it just doesn't have the port for the sensor machined out.

Went in easy, too, since 8.25s use side adjusters. Swapped my ring gear on, ring gear bolts to spec, readjusted for the same pattern/backlash/preload and off I went. If you do this and reuse the carrier bearings make sure you keep each carrier bearing race with the side it came from. Same goes for the carrier bearing caps. I know you know diff setup, but others reading this may not.

I bought used CH8.25 axle from KJ/Liberty 2004. It's a little bit newer and cheaper than xj one, than transferred working lsd and spider gears to my axle.
Caution: KJ's axle shafts are different (longer) than xj.
