Rear seat

Hi ,I'm buying an 89 XJ and it dosent have a rear seat ,I've looked around and found various seats for sale but not 89, what years interchange ? Thus us a 2 door ,there's one on eBay that the brackets look right,( I've never actually seen a proper seat)it's from a 2000, can you guys please advise ,I need a rear seat for the grand kids,want to grab one while its available ,or direct me to where I can get a seat ,thanks ,MG

84-96 is plug n pray. Not sure if the 97-up rear seat is tho.

I have both '89 & '96 2 door Cherokees (you can't have just one . . . )
Bottoms are completely interchangeable, I leave bottom out the when hauling stuff and the back folded flat.
Before eBay, I'd check the junk yards and C.L., should be cheep.
Also check the Calif. chapters.

Be careful with the bottom. The part that attaches the seat to the body breaks at the seat fairly easily. I broke mine the first time I removed it and had no clue how I did it. It's a mess to glue back together.
