I'm looking for some replacement shocks for my 96 cherokee with stock suspension. I looking at the KYB gas-a-just, although they are a bit more expensive than monroe or gabriel. Anyone got any suggestions.

I just put Monroe Sensa-Tracs on my stock XJ. I haven't put that many miles on them but them seem OK. A big improvement over my horribly worn out old shocks.

looks like the sense-tracs are an upgrade from the monroe-matics, as they are close to the same price as the kybs. yea I'm anythink would be an improvement over the worn out stockers.

I put Gabriels Max Controls on my stock 92 XJ, love them....

If you buy them by tomorrow, the 31st, carquest has a 40$ rebate on a set of 4 KYB shocks. Something to think about.
Otherwise, I would consider some bilstein's.
