loose steering

Ok guys, I have a 97 5sp with a RC 4.5 lift all spring no spacers. I just put on Rustys HD steering, and have a "new" remanufactured durango steering box from advance auto parts. New wheel bearings and ujoints etc. my steering just seems very loose, theres play in the wheel and the truck wonders everywhere. Think its the box? I really dont know where to go from here. I want to fix the steering because this thing see 90% of road time and little wheeling. I have a toyota that Im building as my offroad rig so i need to get the xj up to par.

Its most likely your Rusty's steering,is it their UTK crossover steering?

yeah thats what it is. I only got it because i found a guy in craigslist with a lcker and we made a package deal I just about couldnt resist. sooo try something else? I can put stock steering back on and see what happens
