I checked in my stash. 8953005428 is 1990.
The factory tended to supercede older model ECUs with the current model ones. When we ordered one for an 87 and it was 1989 or so, we got the current year ECU as a supercession. The ECUs evolved and horsepower figures went up with each evolution.
FWIW, when looking at part numbers, some will be 10 characters, some 8 characters. Just drop off the "89" at the beginning. Chrysler was still making changes to AMC/Renaults part numbering system in 1990.
