power steering groan

I replaced my bad pump with a brand new stock pump and beled the system. The pump is quiet and smooth with the wheels off the ground, but when i drop it down the pump groans when turning the wheels left and right. I've been told that this may be normal and should go away? I have a 99 stock Cherokee limited with stock tires. any thoughts? thanks

It could go away but I bought a stock pump for mine once and kept having to take it back like 3 times until I got a good one.
