D 30 pin

I am in the process of installing a Powertrax
locker in my d 30. My problem is, the
pin won't clear the ring gear. This thing
only a 16th of an inch too large, and
there is no play in anything. Also
instead of a bolt holding the pin, there
is a roll pin. Is this o.k. ?

Some people grind a little off the ring gear to remove the pin. The correct way to install it is to remove the carrier and unbolt the ring gear.

Perfectly normal, every d30 I have ever seen has that :thumbup: I use a ~4" piece of 3/16" brass rod stock as a punch to remove/reinstall it.
