Leaking c8.25 diff

Yesterday I noticed that my differential on my rear Chrysler 8.25 axle is leaking from the plug in the middle of the differential cover. I have also been getting some odd knockings on takeoff and I am wondering what could cause this and what to do to fix it.

Any thoughts? Do I need to stop driving it?

Check you u-joints and slip yoke,for the cover-tap it for a pipe plug!

FWIW this is all I did.. 10 bucks from ballistic Fab and blamo no more leaks

I normally just weld a nut to the hole in the diff cover and use a bolt with an o-ring on it as a plug. Works great and it's cheap to do.
