Manual says its on the firewall is why I ask?

MAP sensor is on the firewall on the older models (I think 93 and before, not sure) but it will be a black module connected to the side of the throttle body on a 97. Tell him to look for a black box about the size of a tic-tac box on the side of the throttle body toward the driver fender.

It's a small black box attached to the throttle body by torx screws, IIRC it has a small rubber tube from the bottom of it to the TB.
