What would you use: component would be exposed to vibes and shock but no movement. It's about 2 square inches of surface area that needs to be glued together.

Best metal to plastic glue/adhesive?

I love loctite power grab double faced tape, at least for mounting trim and such. For that I would probably use some sort of silicone adhesive or Shoe Goo though.

Gorilla Glue, its like liquid duct tape. You can fix anything with it as long as you have at least a hour of set time and have whatever you are gluing clamped tightly. I broke my prescription glasses (wire frames) at work last week and used Gorilla Glue to mend the frame with. I'm still wearing them.
