My box and 1.25" drop pitman arm are junk. So i wanted to get a new box and ZJ arm (since its a 1" drop) my question is are the boxes in XJ's and ZJ's the same?

I think 5-90 posted in another thread that the ratio of the ZJ box is quicker, which IMHO would be a good thing.

Ya beat me to it!
The xj ratio is 14:1
the zj ratio is 12.7:1
When I did this mod, I barely noticed the difference, but I hadn't driven my jeep in a while so I probably woulda noticed more.
