I am pulling the 35, I have an 8.25 I pulled from a yard as well as the zj disc. Will there be any way to make the e-brake work with the cable from the 35? thanks
I should have asked this first I guess not that I almost done with the brake swap on the 8.25. Will this still work all right on my Jeep as it had a D35 with ABS. I ripped off the ABS lines already, but twill the system still work properly with eh discs if it was working fine with the drums?

yes your regular brakes will still work correctly, though will not have ABS. if you wanted to you could put it back in and adapt the zj backing plate to work i believe
I ran into this when I swapped in a Dana 44 with junk yard Exploder disk brakes on my ABS equipped 98. The ZJ swap will probably have the same issue I experienced. The ABS will not fit on the backing plate without eliminating your e-brakes. There just isn't enough space for the e-brake assembly and the sensor.
Depending on the year 96 and later I think. you can just eliminate the fuse and relay that power the ABS. Not sure what is eliminated with the earlier models but it is more involved.
