xj tranny line fitting conversion

I'm doing a radiator conversion on my '87 4.0L Cherokee with a '92 CSF rad but had to stop the project at the step for reconnecting the transmission line fittings to '92 rad. The bottom fitting is ok, matches. But the top fitting on the '92 is a male plumbing connection. I understand that I should be able to use the original '87 plumbing but it is difficult to remove. The lock nut appears to be welded, but not sure, I was using a cresent wrench but the nut didn't budge. Any suggestions? Is it okay to remove the male fiiting from the '92 without damage? Any suggestions for removing? Is there a website to order replacements?
