Here's the deal....

D44 from late 80s XJ. 3.55 gears
Needs brake work, someone put d35 drums on it, which are not wide enough, so it will need shoes and drums minimum. Sell as is for $325.
I can do the brakes for you.. New shoes, drums and hardware. Add $135.
I can also do gears and locker... $ 200 labor, parts... whatever u buy.

Chryco 8.25 29 spline from a 99 xj. 240k miles, 3.55 gears. as is $80 currently installed in my DD. it's quiet, may need new brakes, have not looked at them. can also re-gear or re-brake for you as you like, probably close to same prices as above.


I will need to swap the D44 into my '99 first, if you want the 8.25.

I'm holding it for a reasonable time until I get a response.

If that falls though, I can swap it out this week, with payment as interest. (I don't want to do the swap then have you back out last minute.)
