Back in Oct.05 I parked my automatic, 4.0,' 4wd, 89 jeep cherokee for the winter and pulled the battery. This spring I put in a new battery and alternator and she fired right up. When I test drove it however, it would not shift into drive. So I read your forums and pulled the TCU(ECU) and it shifted manually through the gears just fine. So I got a used compatible TCU and it still wouldn't shift into drive. What would be a checklist of things to do next? :confused1
