Just because your Jeep passes smog doesn't mean it's running correctly. I've seen a car PUKING smoke still pass smog. And yet my Camaro, that ran perfect, and cleaner than any car I've owned, had to be "passed."
 
If the run to clean they will fail too.. This is why i have a friend do it for me now... It was a pain in the but to fight the smog ref, don't want to do that again..
 
This entire thread makes me very very grateful to be allowed to register my vehicles in my home state while I'm stationed here. :patriot:
