Winterfest oh11 Adopt A Newbie program...

so far ive brought a ford escort, a vw, and a xj to winterfest. figured i might as well bring the 4runner this year. i dont know if i will wheel it, since i just got it and dont know much about it and have no spare parts.

lol@sean i forgot all about that.

flexd i was watching it while my 3 1/2 yr old nephew while he got ready for school. that kid lives and dies thomas the train.

ok back on topic. speak up people, you have a great group of knowledgeable people here. this is a great chance to learn about your ride and get to know some "good" people.

I'm in. Pair me up with someone willing to sustain body damage and run the hard stuff. This is of course if the higher ups don't make me lead/gun a trail or something else.

Right now, we're in the early stages of this program, there has been a top secret list of possable BB's, which those on the list don't even know they are marked (other than me, I can let that one slip out).

The total number of BB's of course will depend on the number of newbies wishing to participate. We will know more closer to WF.

Thank you for your offer.

There is no helping you.
We could pair you up for a year with Goatman, B.J., or One Hub, and there still would be no fixing you......

not sure if i'll be able to make it or not but deffinitly would like to be part of this.

about 3" of lift 31" AT's open front and rear. not too afraid of damage but most likely will be driving it there and back so i tend to take it pretty easy

and i'm a camper so i'd probably be parked next to 89 eliminator

You still are little
ouch... my pride.

hey john, i met up with dan not to long ago and have pretty much solidified my commitment to making it to winterfest. we talked of possible arrangements to meet up and car-a-van it (think thomas the train style). have a possible tow vehicle and trailer too which would be an amazing piece of mind.

give me a ring closer to turkey day so we can talk more on the axles.

Sounds like a Great Idea. This will be my 3rd. Not sure if Tess will have a rig or not this year. Have been looking to trade hers for a Gas Saver.

Been to BadLands 4 times but I learn every year So consider Im in as a Newb too.

I will more than likely show up as a newb. I have wheeled previous Jeeps at the badlands as well as other places. Currently I'm on RE 3.5 with full leafs and 31s. In the process of an SYE/rear discs/other stuff. My goal is to have a built 44 and 30 with at least one locker and 33s if not 2 lockers and 33s or 35s. Im trying to line up a trailer ride too, if thats the case things might get interesting!

We're not responding to each individual post, because this thread has been started as an information gathering tool. All the information that you guys are posting up is good, and being noted.

This is an all new program that I'm sure will have bugs but it will also provide much help for those who want/need it. I'm hoping that all the guys that say 'I don't know if my rig is worthy' will post that here, and be assured that there are no rigs that aren't worthy, from stock to xj buggies are welcome and will be fitted with a group/BB that you'll feel comfortable with. We don't want you to be put into a group that is over built for what you're wheeling, this will assist with that as well.

Keep up the posts.

Fore '3 1/2 months till WF' Wheeler

Sean, how about a drivers seat???? possibly thinking about bringing 2 rigs.....

possibly...WF is apparently the place to "finish off" a rig :D
