Why Do You Vote Democrat?

I'm independent. mostly because I feel like our two-party system is completely failing us. Starting at the local level, each side has become more polarized over the years, by people on either side trying to win over the support of their organization by being the most republican, republican they can be - or vice versa. Then they spend the majority of their time glad-handing one another and pointing fingers at the opposing party, and less time on the real issues.

It's 2012 and this election is rife with debates over womens rights and racism, our space program is behind, our economy sucks, we're still sending guys to the sandbox, and these 2 idiots are arguing over who killed Bin Laden.

Congress has to much power, and nobody is willing to do anything about it. The next 4 years are going to be hell no matter which of those 2 bastards gets elected. This is why I own survival gear and guns smdh.

Not everyone.....I know folks who voted for Obama, simply so they could say that they helped elect America's first black President. They had no clue about his position on issues or qualifications to lead the country. They got what they wanted, and plenty they didn't want. The ignorant and irresponsible get to vote as well.

Agreed. I have guys that work for me that praise Obama. Something was on the news a while back of him being unable to accomplish something (go firgure)and one of them said "he can't get nothin done because those white people won't let him". These are the idiots that vote for him. He was voted in because the color of his skin and there's nobody on earth that could convince me otherwise. If I ask any of my guys about his qualifications they look puzzled, and have nothing intelligent to say about why their voting for him. It's sad that we are stuck with having to vote for the lessor of 2 evils. I wish Ron Paul still had a chance :(

He's currently undermining Pres. Obama because of the result of the '08 primary. He's been at it for a while.
Please expand on this statement?
Articles crop up on a fairly regular basis(Usually but not always on conservative web pages) analyzing what/why the Clintons are doing various things. I don't have a list. Not something I keep good track of. Try plugging Clinton undermines Obama or Bill Clinton undermines Obama into your favorite search engine. You'll get two and a half to five and a half million responses. You can further restrict the search by year and get an idea how far back it goes.

An old military saying comes to mind: "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action."

How about LESS government and more personal responsibility by its citizens? How about instead of sending me to some 3rd or 4th world country (I'm active military) instead you send me to our own borders so we can stop the illegal entry?? And how about the next time we all get to vote on our next leader we all choose someone that puts America first, believes and upholds its Constitution, and finds a way to make the other lazy POS politicians in office do the same!?! I love doing the job I do but if I didn't perform I wouldn't get paid. How about all the politicians that keep milking the gravy train give us a refund since they are sure as hell not doing the job we hired them to do!
I'm neither Republican nor Democrat...Not a libertarian or a liberal. I have no - between my being an American and any other race color or historical family nationality. I am an American. I am proud of being one and would greatly appreciate anyone else that holds to that moniker to stand up, vote wisely, and help bring our great nation back on track!

Bingo! They got what they want, now they don't want what they got. I will admit, he had me fooled within 90 days of the election. Three things he stated that I was absolutely opposed to, can't remember what they were, now.

In my view, the report card stands;
Stimulus/Economics - F.
Foreign Policy - F.
Excuse-based leadership - A+.
Auto Industry Bailout - I
Bin Laden - A+ (Homework assignment completed by someone else) Answers from GTMO?

Thought I'd stir the pot...

I haven't voted since 1984; submitting my ballot in 2012.

I'm really glad he closed Gitmo and got out of war (oh sorry, I mean didn't close it and got us on the ground in a few more)

Got Hypocrisy?

I keep hearing the Progressives make reference to "the racist Conservatives".......truth seems to always find it's way to the front.

I listened to the First Lady's speech last night......where she attempted to present the case that her and the President are just like all of the struggling Americans.

Here it is, if you missed it. http://www.npr.org/2012/09/04/160578836/transcript-michelle-obamas-convention-speech

In 2000, the Obamas combined incomes were over $240,000. That’s the dreaded 1%.
2001- $275,000.
2002- $260,000.
2003- $238,000.
2004- $207,00.
2005- $1,670,000.
2006- $991,000.
2007- $4,238,000
2008- The Obamas scraped by with their student loans, mortgage with a mere $2,736,000

Obama’s own tax returns here.

And I'll beat the Obama voters to the punch......"oh ya, well Romney won't even produce his last 10 yrs tax returns" ........

The DNC chair seems to be a bit confused here......majority of the delegated vote against the recognition of God and Jerusalem as the capitol of Isreal, but the chair declares it as passed.
See for yourself............. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs...el-language-steam-roll-opposition_651765.html

It was bizarre, three calls. But...I don't believe it was a majority. The vote definitely did not get the required 2/3rds vote need to pass the admendment. Another spin, somewhere a couple of thousand years ago a guy named Peter denied God three times and he ended up with the keys to The Kingdom.

I'm not so sure this is true....to my knowledge blacks usually always vote democrat anyways....I do think that alot more of them came out to vote for that very reason. But I think what won it over for him was the independants.

What I think is going to be interesting this election will be the vote of the black christians.....

It's funny to me when race gets thrown in to politics...on any side. Of the black people I know out here, they all vote Republican overall.

The belief that either party is better for one race or another is foolishness. Both sides have had their missteps. Wasn't it FDR who approved the Japanese internment during WWII? Leaders from both parties presided over the eugenics program the ran in 33 states up until the 1980's. Who got sterilized? Mostly blacks and Native Americans, along with those determined to be mentally defective in some way (promiscuity, alcoholism, "feeble-mindedness", or other mental issues). Study this country's past and you'll realize the two party system doesn't work. All you get is polarization of the masses and atrocities carried out by whichever party is in power at the time, or a lot of the time, both parties together.

Do you know why race gets thrown into politics???? Because it is a HUGE part of it now. I don't take pride that myself being white and that every president since George Washington has been white, I just take it as thats just the way things were. Do you honestly think that all the black people that voted for Obama really know or care what his politics are? I didn't NOT vote for him because he is black (actually he isn't even 100% black anyways) I didn't vote for him because he is an F'n idiot. I really didn't care for McCain but he was the lesser of two evils.
I am not saying that race is affilated with which party will serve better, but statistics show that more blacks vote democrat...its just facts. Not saying that all blacks vote democrat.

Believe me this guy the mayor of LA has become the laughing stock of California. He is a joke, a worthless do nothing mayor that has bankrupt LA, not to mention embarrassed his wife and cheated on here in public. He support and harbors illegal aliens and is one of the key reasons why LA and California are in debt. Too many drawing from the system that put nothing in and are not legally allowed to do so but still do. Supported by the democratic party in buying their vote since no ID's are required for voting!!

Race will always be an issue because it's made an issue by each race in the negative when convenient as well as the positive!!!

Race is a huge part of it now because idiots make it a part of it. The fact that he is the first black president is a big deal, yes, but that's where it ends. It's a historical event. But that's where its affiliation with politics should end. But idiots in blue and idiots in red both try to turn his race into a big issue. Don't be an idiot.

I agree with you Darky it's turned into a Circus that's my point. One party will use race to say we're with you but none of them go down to their neighborhoods and hang with them. The Dems have the latino's thinking they are the best friend only for their vote. You don't see the Cuban latino's cheering Obama because they know 1st hand how socialism starts! As Forest Gump once said stupid is as stupid does! So I say don't be an idiot. And for those willing to sell their vote what will you sell tomorrow????
