What did you do to your XJ today

Thank you Nick and Adam for your advice. I'd heard the recommendations for keeping the shaft the weak link, but thought it was mostly for 4.88's/lockers. Either way, if the stock shafts hold up for you, they'll be fine for me. I'll put that $ toward a rear locker.
All my shafts, including the spares, got the treatment last night.

When I polished my last turd I put cryo treated Yukon 4.88 and alloy axles. I did this just because I bought the stuff cheep from someone on here that gave up on their project.

Looks good man!

Set my toe in from just under 3/4" to 1/8". Tomorrow I need to adjust my steering so out doesn't pull to the right anymore.

You can't adjust your steering for a pulling issue (unless it's just your steering wheel the tuned)

If the jeep pulls to one side

It's a ball joint, wheel bearing, or tire pressure.

Bad caster to buy it wouldn't just pull to one side. In the words of NW-ZJ-Scott "like a stray cat darting across the road"

It's a mix of slightly pulling to the right and the wheel is a little off when going straight. Since adjusting the wheel is the easiest (besides tire pressure) that's where I'm going first.

Looked at it... Was going to do some work then I remember that I needed to assemble my welder :banghead:

Got that done and decided to remove the degree shims on my new leafs which resulted in a trip to parkrose hardware and essentially killed my day.

Should get a few hours squeezed in this week then it's all downhill from there.
Finally starting to see light at the end of the tunnel

You need a hand let me know.

Built a mount for a onboard air compressor. Was just looking at kits, with no intention to buy, on Amazon and came across a viar kit for $80 shipped. Didn't even hesitate.

DUDE! that this is cool. I just cant sacrifice the A/C in my rig and have not done OBA yet. I was going to rob a compressor out of a caddy or expo and build a system. but for that price, i cant see wasting my time tracking components and putting it together myself.

Thanks for posting that!

Bronze.

Since my f/r brake seized up I figured I should swap calipers and rotors over from my 99 project to my 97 dd. This is the brake fluid before the flush.
Don't it look tasty. .....
