what would you guys think. i do about half and half high way miles and gravel. and then the weekends its mud roads and timber. thanks for all your input
i have daily driven a welded rear, if you dont mind premature tire wear and kicking out sideways in the rain and snow when you dont expect it then i'd say go for it
thought about an aussie locker or detriot

always been predictable for me
does kick out easier, but it only kicks out when i want it to kick out
I DD'd my XJ with a welded 8.25 for about a year-2 years. It was alright. Wore my tires out real fast, was loud and difficult in parking. It was doable, but I now have a Detroit. The welds did come apart at one point, but we were lucky and able to reweld. Personally, I'd go with a locker if I were you.i have daily driven a welded rear, if you dont mind premature tire wear and kicking out sideways in the rain and snow when you dont expect it then i'd say go for it
If you're dealing with snow and ice, I'd go with an ARB or an Ox.
