I am with them on the wiring. check the connectors also as it is easy to snap the locks and have them vibrate to where they look good but are realy not contacting inside. another option (not likely but an option) If the timing is off by a tooth on the chain or dist the computer will compensate but it will run like garbage and throw codes.
