weird coolant res bottle question

What would make this bottle turn so yellow? Heat would be one thing I am guessing. Anyone else have an ideas? I am looking for a second cherokee and the one I picked up with low miles has a crystal white one... no yellow at all

If the coolant looks clean and the xj doesnt over heat etc it isnt something to concern yourself with. Clean looking rig none the less. I wish my 99 looked that good heh

I understand, however I have to wonder what the problem was in the first place as to why some change and some dont

probably has to do with original materials (not all plastics are created equal)... OR the previous owner putting in regular h20 (or even hard h20 for that mater) vs coolant...

could be a MILLION things... i wouldnt worry about it... they all get yellow after a while...
